Site Manager – New Build Care Home Project

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take over a live new-build care home project based in Milton Keynes.
Our client is an established construction contractor delivering a 13-bed care home development, and due to unforeseen circumstances they are looking to appoint a Site Manager as soon as possible to oversee the remaining stages of the build through to completion.
The Project
This is a ground-up new build scheme, similar in nature to small-scale commercial construction projects. The structure has now been completed and the project is entering the main internal construction phase.
The incoming Site Manager will take responsibility from first fix M&E onwards, ensuring the successful delivery of the project through to practical completion and final handover. The remaining programme is approximately 8 months.
Key Responsibilities

Managing first and second fix M&E coordination

Overseeing building control inspections and regulatory compliance
*
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained on site
*
Coordinating and managing subcontractors through to finishing stages
*
Driving the project programme to practical completion and handover
*
Maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders
Requirements
*
Proven experience working as a Site Manager on construction projects
*
Experience with new build or small commercial schemes is highly desirable
*
Strong understanding of M&E coordination and internal construction phases
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills
*
Ability to take ownership of the remaining programme and deliver the project to completion
*
Must be able to commute to Milton Keynes and attend site five days per week

This role is specifically for completion of the current project, with approximately 8 months remaining on the programme.
