As a Quality Manager at Terex, based in Farlough, you will be a key member of the Farlough site management team. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring customer quality standards are always met. The role will play an integral part in liaising with internal and external customers to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction while achieving high quality standards in a lean environment.
What you’ll do
1. Develop and implement the quality management strategy in line with business standards.
2. Develop and maintain systems to establish standards relating to activities and products.
3. Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards.
4. Monitor performance according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate, advise, or assist according to performance levels.
5. Establish and implement communication strategies for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments.
6. Report on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and performance against standards.
7. Contribute to creating the Total Quality Management (TQM) culture and drive it forward.
8. Lead the Quality Councils on site.
9. Manage department performance against targets through appraisal and review.
10. Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary.
What you’ll bring
* Extensive experience and knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
* Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent in engineering.
* Experience in manufacturing environments.
* Proven track record of people management.
* Ability to demonstrate leadership in strategic and quality management within a global manufacturing organization.
* Ability to interpret system reports and Key Performance Indicators, and govern progress accordingly.
* Ability to work with suppliers to improve overall quality levels.
