Sales Executive - Perishable Freight
£30,000-£40,000 + Commission + Car Allowance
Heathrow / Hybrid - Shift: 9am-5.30pm (MON-FRI)
We're looking for a motivated Freight Operations professional ready to take the next step into Sales and Business Development within the fast-paced world of perishable logistics.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3-5 years' experience in freight forwarding who's passionate about building relationships, understanding customer needs, and developing into a true commercial role.
Responsibilities of a Sales Executive:
* Support the Senior Business Development team in identifying and pursuing new perishable freight opportunities
* Manage day-to-day customer communication and assist in preparing quotes and proposals
* Learn and contribute to pricing strategy, customer presentations, and account development
* Build knowledge of perishable supply chains across air, ocean, and road freight
* Collaborate closely with operations to ensure smooth delivery of perishable shipments
* Attend client visits and industry events as you develop your sales career
Requirements of a Sales Executive:
* 3-5 years' experience in freight forwarding (air/ocean/road), ideally within perishable or temperature-controlled operations
* Strong operational understanding and desire to transition into a commercial role
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Confidence, ambition, and willingness to learn from experienced sales leaders
* Self-motivated with the ability to build long-term relationships
