HR Officer (Admin, Payroll & Absence)

Reporting To
Head of HR
We’re supporting a well-established organisation in recruiting an HR Officer to provide vital administrative and payroll support, alongside absence casework. This role is ideal for someone highly organised, detail-focused, and looking to develop further in HR.
What you'll be doing:
* Managing HR administration including maintaining accurate employee records.
* Supporting monthly payroll preparation and liaising with payroll providers.
* Monitoring absence trends and leading absence investigations in line with policy.
* Producing HR metrics and reports to support decision-making.
* Acting as the first point of contact for employee queries.
About you:
* Previous experience as an HR Officer, HR Coordinator, or Administrator with payroll exposure.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
* Knowledge of HR systems and strong Excel capability.
* Confident handling sensitive employee issues such as absence management.
* Excellent communication skills and a solutions-focused approach.
