Payroll Officer (HR & Recruitment Experience Desirable)

Payroll & HR Assistant
Our client is a prestigious school in West London with a fantastic culture for both employees and students. They are urgently hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Assistant to join their team. This role supports payroll and HR functions and involves contributing to an upcoming systems migration project.
Familiarity with systems such as Cintra, BreatheHR, Every HR, and DataPlan is highly desirable and will facilitate a smooth transition.
Responsibilities
Payroll
* Process monthly payroll end-to-end using Cintra and BreatheHR
* Accurately input and verify payroll data, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulations
* Liaise with payroll providers for smooth processing and reporting
* Address employee payroll queries promptly and supportively
* Assist with pension enrollments and income protection, coordinating with external providers
* Maintain payroll records and prepare reports for management
* Stay updated on payroll legislation to ensure ongoing compliance
HR Administration
* Support onboarding and offboarding processes
* Maintain accurate HR records and update HRIS systems
* Handle HR queries and escalate when necessary
* Assist with drafting employment letters, contracts, and documentation
* Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies
System Migration Project
* Assist with data collection, cleansing, and transfer to Every HR and DataPlan
* Test new system functionalities and provide feedback
* Support communications regarding the new platforms
* Ensure accurate and secure migration of employee data
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in payroll and/or HR administration roles
* Experience with TPS software is desirable
* Familiarity with Cintra, DataPlan, BreatheHR, or Every HR is advantageous
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
* Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
* High confidentiality and discretion
* Willingness to undergo a DBS check
