About the Role
Hanover is recruiting a friendly and positive individual to join our team as a Cook at our Varis Court development in Forres. Working hours are 28 per week, Monday to Friday, between 08:30 and 17:30, with an hour lunch break. This is a Fixed Term position for 3 months.
You will be responsible for cooking and preparing healthy, nutritional meals for our customers, as well as cakes and bakes.
Maintaining the kitchen to a high standard in line with environmental health regulations.
Ordering and stock control, with an emphasis on sourcing produce from local suppliers.
This role focuses on preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to individual care plans, including soft diets, diabetic options, and allergen considerations.
About You
Essential

* Ability to cook healthy, nutritional meals.
* Flexible approach to work with empathy for vulnerable adults.
* Professional conduct when working with vulnerable customers.
* Basic IT skills.
* Knowledge of Cook Safe and HACCP food safety regulations.
Desirable
* Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
* A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.
* At least one year's experience in a similar role.
