As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team of 3 cooks.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cook to assist with ensuring our kitchen delivers nutritious and delicious meals for our elderly residents, do you have a passion for cooking and a genuine interest in catering to the dietary needs and preferences of elderly individuals, including vegetarians and gluten free residents. You will be responsible for food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan with the kitchen manager and prepare nutritious and appetising meals for elderly residents, taking into consideration their dietary restrictions and preferences.
* Contribute to develop weekly menus that offer variety and balance, ensuring residents receive well-balanced and enjoyable meals.
* Supervise kitchen staff, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* Maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies, occasionally place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with care staff to accommodate residents' special dietary needs and preferences and address any concerns or feedback regarding meals.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Excellent culinary skills and creativity in menu planning.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with elderly residents and staff.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.

· rolling 3-week rota
· contracted 24.50 hrs per week
· working every 3rd weekend
shifts patterns are:
· 8 am – 2 pm Monday to Friday
· 2.00 pm pm Monday to Friday
· 8 am pm Saturday and Sunday
