Are you passionate about delivering exceptional HR support and driving positive employee experiences? Join our People Operations team as an HR Officer, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the full employee lifecycle across the FSA.
In this dynamic and customer-focused role, you’ll provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of key processes such as recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, and family-friendly policies. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, managing recruitment administration, and ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice.
You’ll also take the lead on reviewing and improving operational HR processes, acting as a subject matter expert and sharing your knowledge with the wider team. With a strong focus on service delivery, you’ll work flexibly across directorates to meet agreed service levels and support the organisation’s people goals.

As an HR Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of HR services across the organisation. You’ll be responsible for managing a range of operational processes, from recruitment administration to employee record maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage. You’ll work closely with hiring managers to coordinate recruitment campaigns, support onboarding activities, and manage changes through our HR and payroll systems.
This role also involves monitoring temporary contracts, ensuring timely action is taken to extend or conclude arrangements in line with internal approvals. You’ll contribute to the continuous improvement of our HR operations by reviewing and refining processes, ensuring they reflect current legislation and best practice. In addition, you’ll provide support during formal meetings and act as a key point of contact for operational HR queries, helping to maintain a high standard of service delivery across the People team.
