HR Administrator - Permanent - Reading (Sonning Area)£30,000-£35,000 | Full‑Time | On‑Site Every Day

The RoleY
ou'll provide a professional and efficient HR administration service across the organisation, ensuring compliance, accuracy and confidentiality at all times. This is a busy, hands‑on role where you'll support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and absence management.
Key Responsibilities
HR systems administration - creating and maintaining staff records across multiple platforms
Maintaining HR folders and shared network files
Producing and sharing regular HR reports
Managing leaver processes and coordinating exit interviews
General HR admin including filing, photocopying, minute‑taking and statutory returns
Managing the HR mailbox and responding to queries
Preparing documentation for disciplinary, grievance and performance meetings
Supporting training bookings and learning platform administration
Recruitment Support
Managing applications, candidate communication and interview scheduling
Preparing interview packs and coordinating with hiring managers
Preparing offer letters and contracts
Supporting onboarding checks including DBS, online checks, occupational health and safeguarding requirements
Maintaining the Single Central Record and preparing induction packs
Staffing & Payroll
Preparing contract variations and updating HR systems
Supporting annual appraisal and pay review administration
Assisting with monthly payroll processing and liaising with payroll colleagues
Absence Management
Providing admin support for formal absence processes
Preparing correspondence and documentation
Signposting staff to wellbeing and support services
What You'll Bring
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience in HR administration or a similar administrative role
Confidence working with multiple systems and handling confidential information
A proactive, supportive and team‑focused approach
