The Role
Stoke on Trent City Council are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of repairs, maintenance and construction projects across Stoke on Trent. You will manage people, contractors and resources to ensure all projects are delivered safely on time and to quality standards within budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day to day site operations, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation and council SHE policies
* Deliver project plans in line with contractual requirements, quality standards and agreed programmes of work
* Monitor budgets, financial performance including forecasting and cost control and provide accurate updates to the Project Manager
* Maintain essential site records
* Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and resources to meet programme requirements efficiently
About You
* Hold relevant NVQ level 4 or equivalent along with significant experience in managing CDM projects
* Hold a current CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme qualification
* Have a good knowledge of Housing Maintenance and multi-disciplined project delivery
* Demonstrable experience in managing social housing projects, refurbishments, planned major and minor works ranging in value from £10k to £1.5m
* Knowledge of construction management, planning and programming techniques
