Overview
Site Manager - Barnsley, JDR Group is recruiting on behalf of the local authority in South Yorkshire. This is a 3-month contract with the potential to extend. £20.29 per hour, paid weekly. Full time - 37 hours per week. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead a small team to ensure the best outcomes, with a background in a visitor attraction or visitor-focused location and knowledge of the heritage sector.
Location: Barnsley. Role status: 3-month fixed term contract, potential to extend. Interviews are being arranged as applications are received.
What You'll Be Doing
* Responsible for the overall day to day running of the site
* Opening and closing of the buildings
* Carrying out site checks and maintaining health and safety documentation
* Maintenance of internal facilities and asset teams
* Managing and supporting site teams including retail and income management alongside the commercial team
* Working collaboratively with a range of departments
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a visitor attraction environment
* Awareness of health and safety requirements and legislation
* People person who works well with various teams and individuals
* Problem solving skills and the ability to confidently deal with unexpected issues on site
* Excellent communication skills
* Commercial awareness is advantageous
Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates must be able to pass a DBS and referencing checks.
