About the Role
We're seeking a collaborative HR manager to support our German business and help shape our continued success. Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will help enhance our operational excellence and strategic HR impact. Working closely with the People Director – UK & Europe based in London, you will also collaborate with the wider Senior Leadership Team and may have opportunities to travel to UK and European offices.
The position will be based in our Düsseldorf office, with occasional travel to other German offices. Responsibilities include making service delivery improvements, generating employment contracts, monitoring and leading monthly payroll (in coordination with a third-party provider), and supporting recruitment processes.
This role covers all aspects of HR support across our five German offices, serving approximately 50 staff. We seek someone with strong administrative and organizational skills, a passion for HR, and the ability to support our business’s growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the wider European People team to deliver HR excellence
2. Lead monthly payroll processing with accuracy
3. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory HR requirements
4. Support process improvements and HR service delivery enhancements
5. Provide responsive HR support and guidance to stakeholders
6. Conduct audits and maintain accurate data and records
7. Manage HR administrative tasks, including personnel records, benefits, leave, and contracts
8. Develop and update HR policies in response to legislative changes and business needs
9. Support HR projects aligned with our people strategy
10. Manage lease car agreements and administration
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven HR experience with payroll processing knowledge
* Familiarity with HR systems and IT skills, including Excel and report writing
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to collaborate independently with stakeholders and provide expert advice
* Outgoing, respectful, flexible team player with a positive attitude
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with solid administrative background
