Principle Duties and Responsibilities
* Supervise and assess contact sessions, providing support and guidance to children and parents/relatives as appropriate, both before and after contact.
* a. Provide programmes of contact activity such as extended/external contact, indirect contact, family ‘education’, handover support, etc.
* b. Take appropriate action to protect children’s safety and promote their welfare, intervening where this is threatened and terminating the contact if deemed necessary.
* c. Prepare and maintain case records and details of contact, in order to formulate how and if contact should progress. Perform associated administrative tasks and maintain strict confidentiality.
* d. Write or otherwise contribute to reports for the courts or other agencies.
* e. Take part in client feedback processes, record-keeping, monitoring and other aids to the evaluation of services.
* f. Attend planning meetings, reviews, supervision and other related meetings as required.
* g. Liaise and represent with other professionals and agencies.
General Duties
* h. Undertake training as necessary including an induction programme.
* i. Attend regular staff meetings or team meetings as required at pre-arranged venues and at Head Office.
* j. Contribute in your field of expertise to take membership forward.
* k. Adhere to all policies and procedures for and agreed they are employed by you.
* l. Adopt an understanding that information recorded or shared by you as an individual can lead to you be called to court to give evidence in regards to this.
