LoveBristol is a Church and Charity, based mostly in Stokes Croft but with a passion for the whole city. We are a not-for-profit organisation supported by a combination of social enterprise, gifts and grant-aided support. Hands On Manager to join a dynamic team of people working to create and build community in Stokes Croft and across the city of Bristol.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated hands-on individual to come and join our maintenance team in central Bristol and help us look after our buildings and manage our team of tradespeople and volunteers.
Flexible – minimum of 27 hours a week. Some weekend and out-of-hours working required. Hourly pay will be discussed at interview.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Oversight and project management of renovation projects.
· Planned and unplanned maintenance and upkeep of retail and residential properties.
· Compliance management.
· Volunteer maintenance team lead and support.
Skills & Requirements:
· Sympathy with the Christian faith and an aligned vision with the Charity's motivation to love and serve God and our community.
· 5 years construction experience necessary
Plumbing skills essential
Carpentry/Joinery skills beneficial
· Driving Licence essential
The job role will include but not be limited to: General maintenance and refurbishment, painting and decorating, plumbing, tiling, boiler maintenance, refurbishing bathrooms and kitchens, fitting locks and hanging doors, some small build projects, ability to source building materials and calculate build timescales accurately.
Initial period 6months, ongoing work available

Pay: £135.00-£150.00 per day
