Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3-KS4 (and KS5 if required)
* Teach practical skills in food preparation, hygiene, and nutrition
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback and guidance
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, safety, and achievement
* Contribute to the development of curriculum plans and resources within the department
* Promote creativity, problem-solving, and resilience through food-based projects
* Support extracurricular activities such as cookery clubs or competitions
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support student success
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Food Technology, Design Technology, or related subject
* Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
* Strong subject knowledge, including nutrition, health and safety, and food preparation techniques
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
* A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning
