HR Officer
Cardiff (office-based, parking available)

Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a growing and innovative organisation in Cardiff to recruit a HR Officer to join their People & Culture team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build or further develop a career in HR. Whether you already have some HR experience or are looking to step into the profession, this role offers hands-on exposure across the full employee lifecycle in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on position where you will act as a key point of contact for people-related queries, supporting both employees and managers. You'll balance HR advisory responsibilities with day-to-day administration, playing an important role in delivering a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries across the business
2. Supporting managers with absence, performance and employee relations matters
3. Assisting with investigations and HR processes, both informal and formal
4. Providing guidance and coaching to managers on people management
5. Managing HR administration including contracts, onboarding and employee records
6. Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities
7. Maintaining HR systems and producing accurate reports
8. Assisting with policy updates and ensuring compliance
9. Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

We're looking for someone with the right attitude and a genuine interest in HR. You'll be proactive, organised and eager to learn, with a collaborative approach to working with others.

You will ideally have:

10. Some exposure to HR or a strong desire to develop a career in HR
11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
12. A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
13. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
14. A willingness to learn, grow and take ownership

A CIPD qualification (or working towards one) would be beneficial but is not essential.

15. Salary of up to £32,000 DOE
