Salary: £35,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days
We're looking for a dedicated Waste Site Manager to join our Central Division, overseeing Waste Management operations on site in Castle Donington, Derby. You'll be responsible for day-to-day waste management operations, ensuring high standards of health and safety and compliance with local environmental regulations, leading a small team. You'll also act as the primary liaison with the client, ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of waste collection, transportation, and disposal services
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
* Promote recycling and waste reduction programs
* Manage budgets and monitor financial performance of waste management operations
* Supervise and train waste management personnel
* Conduct audits and inspections of waste facilities and operations
* Implement health and safety guidelines for waste management operations
Qualifications
* Experience in waste management or environmental services (desired)
* Familiarity with waste management technologies and software (desired)
* Understanding of health and safety regulations in waste management (desired)
* Valid UK driver's license (essential)
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
* COTC Licence required (Certificate of Technical Competence) (desired)
