Job Overview
Join Bellway’s Eastern Counties Division as a Site Manager to oversee construction sites in the Cambridge area. You will report to the Construction Director and manage all aspects of a development site, ensuring safe, efficient, cost‑effective work and delivering high quality outcomes within given timescales.
Principal Responsibilities
* Run day‑to‑day site operations, providing clear direction to staff.
* Implement health and safety procedures and ensure compliance.
* Motivate and support direct site staff with toolbox talks, training and coaching.
* Maintain site presentation and production standards.
* Deliver all production requirements in line with technical and planning documents.
* Ensure compliance with building regulations and warranty provider requirements.
* Update accurate production/progress returns for senior management.
* Maintain comprehensive site records, including reports, inductions and safety data.
* Inspect and guarantee remedial work before key stage inspections.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
* Prior experience as Assistant or Site Manager with a high‑volume residential house builder.
* Strong team management skills.
* Current knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
* GCSE Maths and English – Grade C or above (or equivalent).
* Valid CSCS Site Manager card.
* Valid SMSTS and First Aid certificates.
* Desirable: Construction Management HNC/HND/NVQ, Scaffold Appreciation, LOLER.
* Effective communication, good administration, deadline‑oriented multitasking.
* Proficient IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
* Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Working Conditions
