A welcoming family based in Bromley, South London, is seeking a professional Live-out Housekeeper/Cook to support the smooth running of their household. The family consists of one principal, two children—one of whom resides part-time—and an elderly relative. The current housekeeper, who has been with the family for over ten years, is retiring, leaving behind a well-structured household and clear domestic systems.

This position is offered on a live-out basis and will suit an experienced professional who enjoys both housekeeping and cooking duties. The role is based on four working days per week, from 9:00am to 6:30pm, providing approximately 38 hours weekly. The daily routine involves general housekeeping, maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the property, laundry and wardrobe management, and preparing light, healthy meals for the family. The household also benefits from a cleaner attending twice weekly to assist with deep cleaning and heavier tasks.
The family values someone who can work independently, with initiative and a friendly disposition. The successful candidate will also assist with school runs for the younger child, run local errands, liaise with the family’s PA, and ensure that all household matters are handled efficiently.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook:
Carry out all general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining order throughout the house
Manage laundry and ironing, including care of delicate fabrics and fine garments, wardrobe organisation, and seasonal changes
Prepare simple, healthy, and nutritious meals for the family
Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning collection, and household supply runs
Conduct school runs for the 15-year-old child and provide occasional support when the adult child is in residence
Maintain a friendly and respectful environment for the elderly resident
Liaise with the PA or relevant household contacts to schedule maintenance or contractor visits
Requirements for this Full -Time Housekeeper/Cook job:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant private housekeeping and cooking experience
Two excellent, checkable references
Legal right to work in the UK
Conversational level of English
