The Human Resources Administrator position is a key role within the Grant Thornton Cayman Islands Business Operations team, dedicated to supporting our people, office, and operational needs.
We seek a dedicated professional to join our team and support daily departmental operations. The candidate will report to the Human Resources Manager to achieve organizational goals and ensure the smooth running of the Business Operations Department.
About The Role
This position requires skills in Human Resources (HR) Administration, Employee Relations, Benefits, and financial processes. The role will promote collaboration across Recruitment, Hiring, Retention, and Professional Development, aligning strategies for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Being the first point of contact for HR-related queries and providing administrative support.
* Participating in and leading HR projects.
* Supporting departmental planning and engagement initiatives.
* Contributing to firm committees (Social, Sports, Charity, Crisis Management).
* Collaborating on employee activities and engagement.
* Managing daily HR activities, recommending policy improvements, and resource allocation.
* Communicating programs and initiatives to employees.
* Maintaining confidentiality of employee information and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
* Administering benefits (Health Insurance, Pension, Gym memberships, etc.).
* Supporting performance management reports.
* Assisting with recruitment processes, including screening and interviews.
* Ensuring compliance with internal policies and updating systems and reports.
* Coordinating with Finance on relocation and offboarding costs, and managing subscriptions and procurement procedures.
* Performing other duties as required.
Ad hoc support and a ‘can-do’ attitude are encouraged.
What You Need
* At least 2 years of HR Administrative experience in a professional environment.
* High School Diploma required; HR Management certification is a plus.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and numeracy skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and provide high customer service levels.
