Duties
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the building, equipment and systems, including plumbing, electrical and heating.
* Conduct repairs and improvements as needed, such as fixing leaks, replacing light fixtures and painting.
* Ensure all health and safety regulations are met and maintained compliance with relevant legislation.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to ensure the safety and comfort of residents and staff.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance work carried out and report any major issues to management.
* Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and order new supplies as needed.
Skills
* Proven experience as a maintenance operative.
* Experience working in a nursing home before preferred, but not essential.
* Excellent problem solving skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours.
* A valid driving licence.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
