Cook – Inchview Care Home
Salary: £25,905 - £26,111
Hours: 36 per week
Responsibilities
* Support the management of a quality catering service for up to 60 residents with a variety of dietary requirements.
* Reporting to the Senior Cook, prepare and cook meals and snacks appropriate to dietary needs.
* Assist with food ordering, the completion of HACCP documentation, and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Senior Cook.
Qualifications and Skills
* Catering qualification (ideally).
* Flexible in approach with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Work pattern
The post covers early/late shifts and alternate weekend working.
Pre-employment checks
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if the candidate has spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to satisfactory outcome of these checks.
