Job Title: Site Manager (Construction)
Location: Glasgow & Lanarkshire
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance + 6% Pension + Bonus
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well‑established construction business delivering an exciting portfolio of projects across Data Centre, Hotel, and Office developments.
This role will focus primarily on building shell works and external works, overseeing delivery to the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead day‑to‑day site operations for shell and external construction activities
2. Manage subcontractors, site teams, and logistics
3. Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures and regulations
4. Monitor progress, quality, and cost performance against project targets
5. Coordinate with project managers and design teams to resolve issues promptly
6. Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting
About You
We are seeking a strong, well‑rounded construction professional with:
7. Proven experience managing large‑scale projects (ideally £20m+)
8. Background in industrial, pharmaceutical, or hospital environments (desirable)
9. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
10. A proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
Essential requirements:
11. Demonstrable experience as Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor
12. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and on‑site coordination
13. Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
14. SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold) and First Aid certification
15. Ability to problem‑solve and maintain calm, professional judgement under pressure
16. A commitment to delivering work safely, on time and to specification
