Overview

Hr Manager - Band 7

£53,751 - £60,651 Inclusive of HCAS

Hybrid working is available, with a requirement to attend the HR office and various BHC estates as required.

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to deliver our HR Strategy, lead on strategic projects such as organisation change management, provide high quality HR advice and guidance to line managers and staff, undertake coaching and training of line managers, and carry out in-depth reporting and analysis of people data. The successful candidate will have CIPD registration and either a CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience and study, with significant NHS HR and employee relations experience and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.

Interviews are expected to be held in the week commencing 22 September.


Main duties

You will provide day-to-day support to the HR Business Partner and work closely with the Employee Relations team to manage a complex employee relations workload and ensure timely resolution. You will also act as the line manager for an HR Assistant and an HR Advisor. Please refer to the attached job description for full details of responsibilities.

Qualifications

* Essential: CIPD (Level 7) or evidence of equivalent experience and study
* Desirable: NHS Job Evaluation trained

Professional Registration

* Essential: CIPD

Training

* Essential: Evidence of specialist training in relevant areas (eg Workplace Mediation, Leadership & Management)

Knowledge & Experience

* Essential: Significant NHS HR/people management experience
* Essential: Significant employee relations experience, including change management
* Essential: Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
* Essential: Experience of workplace mediation
* Essential: Experience using data and trend analysis to inform advice

Specific Skills

* Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex data clearly to large groups and senior stakeholders

Personal Qualities

* Essential: Ability to work autonomously with initiative and maintain high quality and productivity

Information Technology & Information Governance

* Essential: Ability to interrogate information resources, analyse and present data; proficient use of HR systems (e.g., ESR, TRAC or similar)
