**Job Overview**
This role is ideal for individuals who possess a genuine care for customer needs and have the ability to strike a balance between leading and supporting their team.
We are seeking a Customer Team Leader who can foster an inclusive culture, develop their team's capabilities through coaching and training, and ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering great customer service, managing diligence checks and stock accuracy, and deputising for the Store Manager when necessary.
They will also lead the way in introducing new products and services, build relationships with the local community, and support the delivery of the Co-op community plan.
Key responsibilities include:
* Friendly and Thoughtful Service: Provide friendly, welcoming, easy, helpful, and thoughtful service every day, often taking ownership for managing the store and handling challenging situations.
* Team Development: Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone's voice is valued and respected.
* Store Operations: Ensure that the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational.
* Diligence Checks and Stock Accuracy: Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to make shopping a great experience for our customers.
* Deputising: Support your store manager by deputising when they're not working and delivering a variety of HR processes.
* New Product and Service Introduction: Lead the way in introducing new products and services in your store – work closely with your team to implement change and encourage open and honest feedback.
* Community Engagement: Build relationships and get involved in your local community, supporting your Store Manager with the delivery of the local Co-op community plan.
