VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded manufacturing organisation based in Carrickfergus to recruit a Human Resources Officer for a permanent opportunity. This is an ideal role for a proactive and experienced HR professional with a particular interest in employee relations, coaching line managers, and ensuring best practice HR support across the business. The Role Reporting to the Assistant HR Manager, the HR Officer will support the full employee lifecycle and play a key role in resolving employee relations issues, driving engagement, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. You'll be part of a close-knit and collaborative HR team within a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your HR expertise will be both valued and impactful. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line HR advice and coaching to managers and staff on employee relations, grievance, disciplinary, and absence matters. Undertake ER investigations and help guide line managers through appropriate procedures. Support the end-to-end recruitment process, chairing shortlisting and interview panels and ensuring candidate experience is prioritised. Administer HR documentation, including offer letters, contractual changes, and onboarding. Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems for data reporting and compliance purposes. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR projects including wellbeing, CSR, and community outreach programmes. Stay abreast of employment legislation changes and HR best practices, ensuring internal policies reflect this. Support in delivering HR training and guidance sessions across departments. What You'll Need to Succeed Essential Criteria: A relevant third-level qualification and/or CIPD qualification. At least 3years' experience in a generalist HR role. Proven track record in handling employee relations issues and advising line managers. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Working knowledge of current UK employment legislation. Strong Microsoft Office and HR system experience. Desirable: Experience using PAMS or NorthTime Pro HR systems. What's in it for You?
