Cook - Portstewart - Part Time Join a crèche in Portstewart as a part time Cook and prepare nutritious, balanced meals within a caring early years environment. You will play a key role in supporting children’s wellbeing while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. About this role:
1. £13.14 per hour
2. Monday to Friday (8am - 1pm)
3. Temporary role for 1 month
What you'll be doing in this role:
4. Prepare, cook, and serve healthy meals and snacks suitable for young children.
5. Ensure meals meet nutritional guidelines and support children’s health and wellbeing.
6. Cater for special dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural needs as required.
7. Ensure food is prepared and served safely and at appropriate temperatures.
8. Plan menus in line with crèche policies and budgets.
9. Order food supplies and manage stock levels to minimise waste.
10. Work closely with crèche staff to support children’s needs.
What you'll need for this role:
11. Experience working as a Cook or in a food preparation role
12. Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices
13. Ability to plan and prepare nutritious meals
14. Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
15. As part of the Recruitment & Selection process it will be necessary to carry out an Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI before any appointment to this post can be confirmed.
