We are partnering with a long-established organisation supplying essential goods and services across the UK to appoint a
Head of People
. With a strong heritage and a broad customer base, the business has ambitious growth plans and a clear focus on building efficiency and resilience for the future.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Head of People will be responsible for leading the People function and ensuring that the people agenda underpins both cultural ambitions and operational performance. This senior appointment offers a broad remit, encompassing talent, succession, performance, reward, employee engagement, and organisational development across a complex, multi-site environment.
Key priorities include:
* Elevating the influence of the People function to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the business.
* Partnering with the leadership team to embed a culture of high performance, accountability, and positive engagement.
* Designing and implementing frameworks for attracting, retaining, and developing talent at all levels.
* Acting as a trusted advisor on complex people, ER, and organisational change matters.
* Using people analytics to shape strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
* Ensuring best practice and compliance while fostering a values-led culture.
About You
We are seeking an experienced senior HR leader, and ideally one who has operated successfully in complex, multi-site environments. The ideal candidate will bring:
* A proven track record in a senior HRBP, Head of People, or equivalent leadership role.
* CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent experience) and strong knowledge of UK employment law.
* Evidence of influencing at Board and Executive level, with impact on both people and business outcomes.
* Commercial acumen and the ability to align people strategies with organisational priorities.
* Resilience, integrity, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
