A look into the role
Henderson Group Property are award-winning specialists in the acquisition and development of retail outlets and have a proven track record in developing state-of-the-art sites. We are an in-house collective of project managers, architects, engineers, consultants, and technicians and are focused on delivering best in class, sustainable projects. Our team delivered over 300 projects in 2022 ranging in scale and complexity, and with values between £50k to £3m. We were recognised nationally, winning the Best Design and Development Project at the retail forecourt awards 2022. As we continue with our ambitious plans and capital project investments in excess of £35m this year, our team continues to grow.
This exciting, field-based role, will involve working as part of our dynamic store set-up team to help develop store standards to the highest level through well planned and detailed projects.
Working as Store Developer you will:
• Complete planned projects which will involve moving, building and positioning of equipment, implementation of planograms, fitting store imagery and merchandising.
• Complete store refits within given time frames and to tight deadlines so flexibility will be required with this challenging and highly rewarding role.
• Convert stores to an acceptable standard within the allocated time- building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Accurately follow scale plan to move and build fixtures to the correct position.
• Check off goods and report any discrepancies.
• Merchandise stock using a planogram and fit in additional product as required.
• Ensure areas of work exceed requirements under Health & Safety legislation and all work carried out in compliance of Safety Method Statements.
• Ensure shelf-edge labelling is applied accurately to stock merchandising to aid shelf discipline.
Skills for Success
Joining us as Store Developer the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
• A minimum of one years' experience in a retail environment.
• Basic knowledge of merchandising within a grocery environment.
• A full valid UK/EU driving licence

• Experience of shop fitting and merchandising within a food retail environment.
• Manual Handling training.
• Food hygiene training

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. Working hours will be 8.15am - 4.45pm (Mon-Thu) and 8.30am - 3.00pm (Fri).
Working as part of our team, you could be working in all parts of the province and expected to complete store refits within given time frames and to tight deadlines so flexibility will be required with this challenging and highly rewarding role. Occasional weekend and night working will be required as part of the role.
