Job Title: Cook
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our team at a care home. Your role will involve preparing freshly made, nutritious, and well-balanced meals tailored to various dietary needs and preferences.
Responsibilities include:
1. Planning and preparing a variety of meals and snacks, encouraging home-style cooking with fresh ingredients.
2. Involving service users in food preparation when appropriate.
3. Managing food supplies, ordering, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen in line with health and hygiene regulations.
Ideal candidates will have previous catering experience and ideally hold a Food Hygiene Certificate. However, we are willing to support the right candidate in obtaining one. The qualities we value most are organization, dependability, pride in work, good communication skills, and a friendly approach. Respect for CrossReach’s Christian ethos is essential.
