Group HR Manager
We are a dynamic, values-driven organisation with care homes at our heart. We're looking for an experienced, strategic HR professional to take on a role with real influence — shaping our people strategy, culture, and capability across multiple sectors.
The Role
As Group HR Manager, you'll lead the full HR agenda, partnering with senior leaders to ensure our people strategy supports our ambitious growth. You will:
* Support the recruitment process.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders, coaching and challenging managers to lead their teams effectively, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organisation.
* Identify and develop talent, creating meaningful career pathways and progression opportunities through learning resources, mentoring, job shadowing, projects, and more.
* Work closely with our L&D function to design, implement, and deliver training and development programmes.
* Support and deliver HR training to upskill managers and strengthen leadership capability.
* Provide expert advice on HR policies, procedures, and best practice, including employee relations and employment law.
* Develop People Plans, succession plans, and team development initiatives for key business areas.
* Contribute to salary benchmarking and career framework design.
* Equip managers to facilitate team reviews, set objectives, measure performance, and hold meaningful conversations.
* Share HR insights with the business, ensuring alignment and impact.
* Champion and embed our core values
* Review, improve, and modernise HR policies and practices to enhance employee engagement.
* Support in the management of the sponsorship process and administration where necessary
* Monitor, interpret, and utilise HR metrics to support better decision-making.
About You
We're seeking someone who can balance vision with practical delivery:
* CIPD-qualified (or equivalent) or working towards, ideally with experience in a care environment.
* Confident in providing commercial, pragmatic HR advice with a logical, process-driven approach.
* Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to listen, guide, and coach at every level.
* Comfortable delivering training to large groups.
* Able to make quick, sound decisions using strong judgment.
* Naturally solutions-focused — spotting opportunities to simplify and improve processes for stronger results.
* Up to date with employment law, HR best practice, and industry trends.
* Positive, proactive, and collaborative — equally comfortable working independently.
* Full driving licence, with travel between UK sites required.
