A well-established food manufacturing site in Milton Keynes is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee product quality, food safety, and compliance. This senior position will lead the technical function, ensuring the highest standards across the operation and driving continuous improvement.
The role
Take responsibility for the overall quality performance of the site, including product safety, compliance, and technical integrity.
Maintain and develop the company's Quality and Food Safety Management System to meet internal and external requirements.
Ensure ongoing compliance with food safety legislation, BRC standards, and ISO22000 accreditation.
Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
Manage supplier approvals and audits, maintaining an up-to-date approved supplier list.
Lead and develop the Technical and Quality team, fostering a high-performing environment.
Provide guidance to senior management on regulatory, quality, and operational matters.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
Support the site in retaining its AA grade BRC accreditation.About you
Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within the food manufacturing industry.
Relevant qualifications in Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety, and auditing.
Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of UK food safety, labelling, hygiene, and health & safety legislation.
