Key Responsibilities
* Take overall responsibility for the maintenance, safety and security of the school buildings and grounds
* Carry out frequent, proactive maintenance tasks to ensure the site remains in excellent condition
* Undertake a wide range of basic DIY and repair work (including painting, minor plumbing, adjustments and general upkeep)
* Identify and address maintenance issues early, ensuring a high standard of presentation at all times
* Manage and supervise cleaning staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school
* Act as a key holder, including opening and closing the site and responding to alarms where required
* Carry out routine health & safety, compliance and site checks
* Liaise with and oversee external contractors
* Support with room setups, school events and lettings
What We Are Looking For
* Has strong practical DIY and maintenance skills
* Is proactive and takes ownership of keeping the site to a high standard
* Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in their work
* Can work independently and manage their own workload effectively
* Has experience in site management, caretaking or a similar role
* Can confidently manage and support cleaning staff
* Has a good understanding of health & safety requirements
* Is flexible and willing to support the school with occasional weekend or out-of-hours work

Working Hours
Monday to Friday (Term-time) 6.30am – 10.30 and 2.30pm – 6.00pm
Monday to Friday (School holidays) 8.00am – 3.30pm
Hours: 37 hours per week (Split Shifts)
