Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet our standards while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are followed.
This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job will include one weekend day, full days and evenings. Our operational hours are 10:30am to 10pm. You must be over 18 to apply due to UK law.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus, including hot and cold food.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
* Cooking items to order whilst managing hot hold food items.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Be able to operate as part of a team and manage front of house kitchen staff when required.
* Work under pressure in time-sensitive periods.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices, including Food Hygiene standard Level 2.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
