HR Change Manager
Contract: 3-month Fixed Term Salary: c. £50,000 Location: Hybrid (2-days per week in East London)
The Role
We are looking for an operational heavyweight to sit at the heart of a major organisational restructure.
While our HR Change Partners drive the strategy with Directors and our HR Advisors execute the data and logistics, you are the bridge that holds the operation together. You will manage the workflow of the HR Advisor team, ensure absolute rigour in our data and documentation, and handle complex consultation cases that require a senior touch.
You won't just be 'managing' - you will be quality controlling the output of the change function. If you have an obsession with process improvement and the resilience to lead through ambiguity, this is your platform.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & QA:
* Manage the day-to-day workload of the HR Change Advisors, ensuring the 'engine room' is firing on all cylinders.
* Act as the final quality assurance gate for all redundancy documentation, contract changes, and data sets before they are issued.
* Translate high-level strategy from the Change Partners into actionable project plans (using MS Planner/Smart Sheets) for the Advisors to execute.
Complex Case Management:
* Lead on individual consultations for middle-management or complex cases that require higher-level handling but do not require Director-level intervention.
* Act as the first point of escalation for Advisors on difficult queries or sensitive employee relations issues arising from the restructure.
Data Integrity & Reporting:
* Own the 'Master Data' view. While Advisors input the data, you analyse it to spot risks, gaps, or inconsistencies.
* Produce the weekly RAG status reports for the Programme Board, giving an honest, unvarnished view of progress against the timeline.
Who You Are
You are not looking for a role where you sit on the fence. You are assertive, detail-obsessed, and curious about how to make things work better.
* The Technical Bar: You are CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum, Level 7 preferred) with significant exposure to organisational change. You don't just know Excel; you know how to build a tracker that doesn't break when three people edit it at once.
* The Leadership Style: You are supportive but demanding of quality. You can coach an Advisor through a tough day while ensuring their output remains 100% accurate.
* The Mindset: You are uncomplicated and straightforward. You treat people with dignity during difficult times, but you are tenacious about hitting deadlines and keeping the project moving.
