In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo, vessels, and crew. We manage 75,000 port calls per year, meaning every 7 minutes, worldwide, we send a ship safely out to sea to fulfill its purpose. We combine local expertise with strict global standards to ensure our customers’ port calls are as efficient and safe as possible.
We are seeking a Sales Executive to join our Port Services Division. The role involves maintaining and expanding the existing account portfolio by securing new business from current customers and acquiring new clients. The goal is to optimize profits across the portfolio and align customer needs with operational capabilities through close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Reporting Line:
This position reports to the Key Account Manager and requires close cooperation with other Sales Executives, Key Account Managers, Ships Agency Managers, and Customer Success Agents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive profitable sales growth with existing and new customers
2. Build and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure ongoing growth
3. Collaborate with WPS stakeholders to foster growth on existing and new accounts
4. Set and achieve ambitious targets for your customer portfolio in partnership with the Key Account Manager
5. Ensure compliance with WPS sales governance policies
6. Maintain accurate and current information in the CRM system
7. Manage contracts, ensuring adherence to all terms, including credit policies
8. Develop and execute sales plans for your portfolio
9. Secure multiple entry points within your accounts
10. Implement and monitor marketing campaigns
11. Ensure credit exposure limits are in place according to policy
12. Handle credit collections and manage credit risk within your portfolio
Qualifications for Success:
* Diploma in Business or a relevant field; relevant experience can substitute for formal education
* International sales experience is advantageous
* Experience in customer negotiations
* Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (verbal and written)
* IT proficiency with experience in Excel, Word, Teams, CRM systems, etc.
