Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Cook to join our team on a full time basis, working up to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating delicious dishes. As a Nursery Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our children.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the planning of menus and daily specials, ensuring seasonal ingredients are utilised.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
* Confidently lead EHO inspections
* Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and cleaned regularly.
* Ensure the nursery
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation.
