You will liaise with our Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist, and staff to ensure high-quality, fresh, home-cooked food is provided daily. You will also establish rapport with residents and their families to meet their dietary needs. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing, cooking, and serving meals for residents and others as required, in a timely manner.
2. Providing a varied diet, catering for cultural preferences.
3. Catering for celebrations and events in our Home.
4. Ordering supplies within the catering budget and company policy, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook.
5. Maintaining accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP.
6. Participating in inspections by Environmental Health, care regulators, and Local Authorities.
7. Maintaining high hygiene standards in the kitchen by adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
8. Assisting in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring health and safety compliance.
9. Managing the Catering Team.
