External Sales Executive – Steel Industry
Location: Staffordshire (Field-based)
Salary: £30,000 basic
OTE: £60,000+
Car: Plug-in Hybrid Company Car

Our client, an extremely well-established steel stockholder and processor based in Staffordshire, is seeking an experienced External Sales Executive to join their growing commercial team.
This is a field-based role, spending approximately 4 days per week on the road, managing and developing an existing portfolio of customers while also generating new business opportunities within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow an established customer portfolio across the assigned territory.
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the metals sector.
* Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular site visits.
* Promote the full range of steel products and processing capabilities.
* Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximise profitability.
* Provide market feedback and identify opportunities for growth.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Essential: Strong understanding of the metals industry.
* Previous experience within steel stockholding, metal fabrication, laser profiling, or related processing environments.
* Proven external sales experience with a strong track record of generating new business.
* Confident relationship builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently on the road.
Package & Benefits:
* £30,000 basic salary
* Uncapped commission structure with OTE of £60,000+
