About the Role
Are you an experienced HR professional who loves building great cultures and supporting people to do their best work?
Weâre an ambitious, purpose-driven company in the food and wellbeing space, currently entering an exciting new phase of growth after significant investment in new facilities. Following several years of rapid expansion, weâre looking for an HR / People & Culture Manager to take ownership of all people-related activity, from engagement and performance to compliance and development.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where youâll shape how our teams work, grow, and thrive. Youâll partner with managers across both HQ and production teams to ensure we remain a great place to work as we scale.
What Youâll Do
Policies & Compliance
* Create and maintain clear HR policies, contracts, and employee handbooks.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment law, health & safety, and fair working practices.
* Advise managers on handling people issues confidently and consistently.
Employee Relations & Performance
* Lead annual review and feedback processes that support growth and accountability.
* Manage disciplinary and performance improvement cases where needed.
* Act as a trusted advisor for managers and employees alike.
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, ensuring a great candidate and new joiner experience.
* Support workforce planning across HQ and shift-based teams.
* Manage offboarding and capture insights to improve retention.
Culture & Engagement
* Lead initiatives that bring teams together and strengthen company culture.
* Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the business.
* Keep communication flowing across departments and locations.
Learning & Development
* Coordinate compliance and skills training (e.g. food safety, H&S, manual handling).
* Support managers in developing their teams through coaching and training.
HR Systems & Reporting
* Manage HR systems for attendance, holidays, and performance tracking.
* Provide leadership with clear people metrics and insights to inform decisions.
What Weâre Looking For
* Proven HR experience in a production, logistics, or shift-based environment.
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience handling employee relations and performance management.
* Skilled communicator who can build trust at all levels.
* Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
* Track record of driving engagement and culture initiatives within a diverse workforce.
