Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Cook to work with a Nottingham-based Local Authority on a temporary basis. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week between the hours of 8:30am – 4pm. The role is based within a residential care home and the successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check for this post. Main Duties: To carry out preparation of vegetables and other basic food preparation. Responsible for the washing up of pans, utensils and crockery. Cleaning of equipment and premises as part of the cleaning rota. Packaging, delivery and assisting with service of food to citizens. Working with due regards for own personal safety and that of others within the establishment. Work within the parameters of Food Hygiene Legislation. To adhere to all relevant policies and procedures. To work on own initiative, unsupervised whilst carrying out duties. Essential Criteria: Previous experience as a Cook/Chef within a health and social care environment (Local Authority/NHS/School/Care Home/etc.). Food Hygiene certificate. Enhanced DBS Certificate.
