Water Efficiency Sales Executive – 37 hours per week, permanent (Job Level D)
Location: Contractual base in Pearl House, Peterborough or Salvus House, Durham with hybrid working opportunities and occasional travel.
Salary: £26,633 plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary.
Reporting to: Business Development Manager (WES).

Role in a Nutshell
Wave’s Water Efficiency Services (WES) team delivers value‑adding and ancillary services to help business customers reduce their water consumption and address water scarcity and climate change.
Sales Executive / Consultant Role
This tactical role supports the WES team’s financial and water‑saving goals by actively offering our Active Water Management® services to Wave’s customers.
Responsibilities
* Makes direct sales calls to customers (cold and warm leads), handles inbound enquiries, and prepares, issues and chases proposals for our services.
* Leads direct customer recruitment for participation in Wave water efficiency projects.
* Promotes and sells Wave’s range of Active Water Management® services via outbound calls, inbound calls and email.
* Maintains our CRM system, updates customer information, and ensures compliance with DPA and GDPR.
* Supports customer recruitment for Wave lead water‑efficiency initiatives by contacting eligible customers.
* Liaises with contractors and end customers to book water‑savings visits and provides necessary information before visits.
* Writes and issues proposals and actively follows up to secure sales.
Typical Day
* Promote and sell Active Water Management® services.
* Maintain and enrich CRM data.
* Recruit customers for water‑efficiency projects.
* Coordinate visits with contractors and customers.
* Prepare and chase proposals.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end sales process and key sales techniques.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Fully IT‑literate and proficient with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking to a wide range of audiences over phone and email.
* Ability to build rapport with stakeholders via remote communication.
* Self‑starter who can work independently.
