The Opportunity: Customer Quality Manager
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within JCB Service for a Customer Quality Manager. You’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on driving quality and reliability improvements across JCB’s range of tractors (JCB Fastrac).
What does this role involve day to day?
1. Collaborating with engineering, purchasing, and quality teams to resolve complex technical issues.
2. Preparing and analysing failure and warranty data to assess product quality and reliability.
3. Ensuring new products meet customer service and quality standards through the JCB New Product Introduction Process (NPIP).
4. Providing customer input into the new product development process.
5. Conducting machine appraisals and quality audits during the NPIP process.
6. Delivering technical product updates to JCB subsidiaries and dealer staff.
7. Leading and participating in departmental improvement projects to enhance tools, processes, and technologies.
This will be suited to you if:
1. You hold an engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree level) or have equivalent experience and technical ability.
2. You have strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, especially in root cause identification.
3. You’re a confident communicator who can engage effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
4. You’re self-motivated, organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
5. You’re flexible and willing to travel to support customers, dealers, and manufacturing sites when needed.
6. You bring a sense of urgency and a positive, customer-focused attitude to your work.
