Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible person who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure we can sustain safe, high quality learning environments for our students, staff and our wider community. You will be a key holder with open/closing responsibilities and will have experience in maintenance, repairs and DIY.
Responsibilities
* Security and building operation and health and safety checks which will involve recording details on our Weblog System.
* General school maintenance for the building and grounds.
* Repairing faults across the school and playgrounds.
* Conducting fire safety, including inducting new staff in fire and evacuation procedures.
* Event set up and take down.
* Support and assist colleagues to conduct specific/ad hoc caretaking tasks when required.
* Cleaning work and supervising cleaning staff.
* Grounds work ensuring the school and grounds are clean and tidy.
* Dealing with both external and internal contractors.
* First Aid (training will be provided).
* Carrying out a programme of Risk Assessments for school staff.
* Waste/Pest control.
* Handling goods and equipment.
Qualifications and requirements
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with the SLT and pupils to ensure projects run smoothly. You will be committed to achieving high standards, highly motivated, flexible and hardworking. There is also an option to work as a Midday Supervisor for 7.5 hours per week (£4,293.67 per year).
