Overview

Employment Lawyer – Martin Searle

Location: Brighton & Home Based

Salary: Competitive

Deadline: 5pm on Monday 15 December 2025

We are looking to employ an experienced Employment Law Solicitor, in-house Counsel / Barrister, Legal Executive or Case Worker to join our Employment Law team. We predominantly advise employees but also work with employers on a full range of employment issues and have a national reputation for campaigning for equality in the workplace. You will enjoy all aspects of Employment Law as well as bringing and defending complex discrimination cases. You need to be a good communicator and team player who is committed to providing a high-quality service to all our clients. You must also be proficient at using IT and case management systems and able to carry out your own advocacy to at least Case Management stage. It is desirable that you advocate at Judicial Mediations and Final Hearings. We are an equal opportunities employer and will consider applications from candidates who wish to work flexibly.


Responsibilities

* Advise employees and employers on a full range of employment issues.
* Advocate at least to Case Management stage; desirable to advocate at Judicial Mediations and Final Hearings.
* Communicate effectively and work as part of a team to provide high-quality client service.
* Utilise IT and case management systems to manage caseloads.


Qualifications

* Experience as an Employment Law Solicitor, in-house Counsel / Barrister, Legal Executive or Case Worker.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to high-quality service.
* Proficiency with IT and case management systems.
* Ability to carry out advocacy to at least Case Management stage; Judicial Mediations and Final Hearings are desirable.
