Ltd are a multi-disciplinary engineering company specialising in delivering bulk material handling projects across a range of industries. A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as we are looking to appoint a Site Manager for our Construction division. Site Manager role & responsibilities:
* Undertake Principal Contractor Responsibilities
* Manage/coordinate day to day activities onsite for Don Valley and Subcontractors
* Be able to supervise all direct labour as necessary and coordinator the activities of subcontractors to an agreed project programme.
* Manage and Coordinate Health and Safety onsite.
* Manage and maintain a strong Health and Safety culture within site team.
* Monitor build progress, report programme / cost / build deviations.
* Develop reports, KPI’s.
* Liaise with clients, manage internal and external relationships.
* Responsible for maintaining high standards / level of work / Quality of work.
* Report daily activities.
* Maintain plant and equipment records, ensure equipment is maintained and not used in correctly.
* Report damages/breakages.
* Prepare toolbox talks/safety meetings.
* Complete / maintain onsite safety hazard assessments.
* Undertake/Participate in safety / incident investigations.
* Inspect and measure completed works.
* Manage own performance to meet requirements of your role.
* Promote positive working relationships.
* Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to change, good role model.
* Good attention to detail and standard of work.
* To maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner at all times when representing Don Valley Engineering Group
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
* Good client-facing and internal communication skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* CDM experience required.
* Material handling experience preferred.
* SMSTS / NVQ level 6.
* Minimum IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent experience.
* First Aid – Beneficial but not essential.
