My client is a well-established precision engineering company that specialises in fabricating and welding pipework, steelwork and mechanical engineering projects for the water and utilities industries, delivering high-quality installations. The position expedites pipefitting and welding activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans, safety management systems and best working practices in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and Business Objectives to ensure that the performance and availability of mechanical systems meets the standards required to achieve production targets, whilst managing a small team of Pipefitters.
Travel time is door to door and you will be covering the UK.
To delegate pipe fitting duties to the team
Carry out own pipefitting, steelwork fabrication/repair & welding activities, planned and reactive, at clients’ site, as directed, to ensure facilities are maintained in compliance with company processes and EH&S, design and maintenance standards
Requires recognised pipefitting qualification (e.g. Apprenticeship)
Knowledge of relevant mechanical engineering principles and practices
