Overview
IT Services at the University of Sheffield provide a full range of complex IT and technology-enabled services that support education, research, workplace, corporate services and infrastructure enablers to all our staff and students. This large and highly innovative department is undergoing a significant amount of change as it establishes itself as a key enterprise IT partner that works across the University, with stakeholders and key partners to deliver enterprise-wide products and services in line with strategic aims.
Main duties and responsibilities
 * Work with Product Teams, Developers and other colleagues to support, design, develop, test and enhance a range of mission critical student applications
 * Develop systems using best practice methods
 * Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and plans within IT Services and in supported areas
 * Work with external providers to integrate systems
 * Prioritise user requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders and Product Managers
 * Assist the Student Systems Team Leaders with any other projects as required
 * Keep abreast of developments in the sector via conferences, forums, webinars and mail lists, sharing information with other team members.
 * As a member of staff, you will be encouraged to make ethical decisions in your role, embedding the University sustainability strategy into your working activities wherever possible.
 * Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.

£48,822 to £58,225 per annum with the potential to progress to £65,509 through sustained exceptional contribution
