Your new role
As a Site Manager within the Roads and Highways division, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations on a variety of highway maintenance and improvement schemes. This freelance role involves managing subcontractors, ensuring health and safetypliance, coordinating with project stakeholders, and maintaining progress against programme timelines. You will ensure that all works are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing site activities and ensuringpliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
2. Coordinating with engineers, planners, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
3. Monitoring progress and reporting on project milestones
4. Ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications
5. Managing site documentation and records
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
6. Proven experience as a Site Manager in the highways or civil engineering sector
7. Strong knowledge of road construction and maintenance practices
8. SMSTS certification
9. CSCS black card
10. Excellentmunication and leadership skills
11. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
12. Full UK driving licence
