We’re looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals who will share this passion, to join our team.The post delivers multi-trade repairs and maintenance to new homes housing developments, providing excellent customer service at all times.Our benefits include:Pension SchemeLife Assurance26 days holiday with additional bank holidaysHoliday Buy SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeWe have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join a friendly team working from our Northern region and based at our site at Darwen (BB3 3LD) on a fixed term contract to December 2026.Duties include:Ensuring compliance on site at all times to the company Health and Safety standards and processes, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standardsCo-ordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme on larger developments, and to proactively schedule in trades to ensure optimum deliveryUndertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections at the correct timings and rectifying any defects so as not to incur additional cost, time delays, or reduction in the final qualityMonitoring and controlling the cost of production, and approving payment to contractors and trades where appropriateInitiating and attending plot inspections with the Local Building Inspector or NHBC, taking corrective action to ensure a minimum of RI’s/BRI’sCarrying out toolbox talks or similar on-site briefings to influence and drive best practiceTo display a proactive approach to mitigating risk, build sequencing, and overall quality on siteLiaising proactively with other internal departments, externals suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achievedWorking with Sales through regular build/ sales meetings to ensure smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customersTo deliver a high standard of site presentation at all timesCarrying out New Home Demos with the Sales Advisor and customer(s) to give a good demonstration of the home, answering any questions, and rectifying any issues before Legal CompletionWith the support of the Contracts Manager, ensure the on-site construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site’s workload and resourcesShowing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work, and professionalismWe’re looking for the following skills or experience:NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalentCSCS – Black Management/White AcademicSMSTSFirst Aid at WorkBREGS or willingness to achieve in probation periodFire Safety for low-rise flats and housing or willingness to achieve during probationary periodEnvironment Supervision in Construction Training – SSP (SEATS)Understanding of the NHBC or /LABC/Premier standardsExperience of working to an established build programmeProven ability to consistently deliver weekly targets through proactive organisation of the labour force, and promoting a team working ethicManaging Contractor agreements and liaising with Contractor SupervisorsIn depth knowledge of all aspects of construction and housebuilding, and the relevant legislative requirements e.g. Health and Safety, NHBC requirements and Building RegulationsExcellent communicator and influencer of people to gain commitment and compliance, and to drive deliveryLeadership skills to ensure optimum delivery to the highest quality standards on siteProven history and well-rounded experience of dealing with customers and potential customers, giving information and advice or resolving any customer issues and confirming company procedures within residential housebuildingProficient IT skills – Office, Word, ExcelHold a Full UK Drivers LicenceBringing together two trusted housebuilding brands, Tilia Homes and Hopkins Homes, untypical aims to make a positive difference to the UK housebuilding market and help to provide greater access to homes which are affordable for buyers.
